Health Canada (HC) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) administer 26 social media properties for various purposes and to reach various audiences. This includes corporate accounts for HC and PHAC as well as the parent-focused Healthy Canadians accounts. They had no standardized reporting mechanism in place to determine if their social media activity was successful. As a result, Health Canada engaged Re-Think Strategic Consulting to review the current social media landscape and provide recommendations for key performance indicators (KPI), benchmarks and reporting templates.
